NUST Student ("the App") is an independent mobile utility designed to help students view their academic schedule, attendance, assignments, grades, and challan notices in a streamlined mobile interface. The App is an independent student tool and is not officially affiliated with or endorsed by the National University of Sciences & Technology (NUST).

1. Credentials & Local Storage

• Your student login credentials are stored exclusively on your device inside encrypted device storage (Android Keystore / Expo SecureStore).
• Your passwords are never transmitted to or stored on any developer server; they are used solely by your device to authenticate directly with official university portals over HTTPS.
• You can clear all locally stored credentials and cached academic data at any time by tapping Sign Out inside the App or uninstalling the App.

2. Analytics, Crash Reporting & Advertising SDKs

To keep the App free, reliable, and compatible with portal layout updates, the App integrates standard third-party SDKs:

• Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads SDK): Collects and shares device/advertising identifiers, approximate diagnostics, and ad interaction metrics to display non-intrusive native advertisements and prevent fraud.
• Google Firebase Crashlytics & Google Analytics: Collects crash traces and anonymized app performance diagnostics to identify and fix software bugs.
• PostHog Product Analytics: Collects anonymized product usage telemetry and portal structure diagnostics to ensure accurate parsing of schedules, tasks, and attendance tables.

3. Data Encryption & Security

All network communication performed by the App and its integrated SDKs is encrypted in transit using industry-standard HTTPS/TLS.

4. Account Creation & Data Deletion

The App does not create or host developer-managed user accounts. Students sign in using their existing institutional student credentials. Because no personal account is created on developer servers, you may remove all local personal data immediately by logging out or uninstalling the App. For any data deletion or privacy inquiries, contact us at abkhaan95@gmail.com.
